It's the Highlight of the Season
The 2014 Technical Meeting will be held
December 5-9 at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra, FL. All the
great things you have come to expect from our Technical Meetings will
return: informative programming, a great keynote speaker (see the
adjacent article for more information on this), an outstanding trade
show, the chance to make lots of new contacts in the industry and many
opportunities to get updates on ASBA’s activities (and maybe even to
become more active in the association yourself). You’ll also be able to
find out who won ASBA’s awards – and a whole lot more.

ASBA Awards Recognition
Program Seeking Sponsors: Deadline October 31
As part of this year’s Facilities of the
Year Awards Recognition Dinner, being held on Monday, December 8, in
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, at the Technical Meeting, we are creating a
special awards supplement. The 16-page supplement will recognize all of
this year’s winners and, specifically, feature photos and brief profiles
of the “Outstanding” facility award winners. We have contracted with
Peter Francesconi, of Ace Media Group, to help coordinate the piece.

The ASBA Awards Brochure won a 2014 American
Graphic Design Award! Congrats to our designer, Kirsten Navin!
It’s the second American Graphic Design
Award this brochure has won; the 2011 edition won it, too.
For five decades, Graphic Design USA has
sponsored competitions to spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity
for creative professionals. GDUSA’s American Graphic Design Awards
(trademark) is the original and the flagship, open to all in the
community: design firms, ad agencies, corporations, non-profits,
institutions and more. It honors outstanding work of all kinds across
all media. For the ninth straight year, more than 8,000 entries were
submitted; a very highly selective 15 percent are recognized today with
a Certificate of Excellence.
