ASBA Returns to New Orleans for Technical Meeting

ASBA is coming back to The Big Easy. That’s right, our 2017 Technical Meeting will be in New Orleans, Louisiana, one of ASBA’s favorite places. And as the Association has grown (along with its meetings), it is going to have a new home, the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

This meeting, scheduled for December 1-5, 2017, will have all you’ve come to expect, including…

Great programming: The ASBA Technical Meeting has a schedule relevant to all segments of the industry, arranged in tracks with speakers who will address topics in tennis, track, field and courts and recreation facilities, plus general business topics and other trending information. Many of our sessions are accredited for professional continuing points.

A trade show with everything you need: Why waste time at any other meeting when ASBA’s Technical Meeting has the trade show with the products and services you want to learn about? The trade show showcases both brand-new, cutting-edge technology as well as longtime favorites. It’s also the site of receptions, breaks and some meals, so there will be great opportunities to visit.

The best place to meet up with your colleagues: Catching up with friends and making those key contacts is one of, if not the best reasons to come to a meeting, and the Technical Meeting offers multiple opportunities to do just that.

Opportunities to advance your career: In addition to meeting key members of the industry, you’ll have the chance to become even more involved in the industry. The certification exams will be given (so if you’ve been toying with the idea of becoming a CTCB, CTB, or CFB, here is your chance.)

The chance to get more involved with ASBA: Want to join a committee, write a position paper or just explore new volunteer opportunities? ASBA has plenty of options, and you can learn about all of them at this meeting.

A chance to have some fun: Options for tennis and golf outings mean the Technical Meeting isn’t all business – you can spend some time in good-natured competition with colleagues and competitors, and blow off some steam.

And hey, it’s New Orleans! This is the destination everyone loves. You can explore the French Quarter, the historic sites, dine at countless restaurants or just have a drink at a sidewalk café and watch the ever-fascinating show that is The Big Easy. Want to get out with friends and colleagues? There are more opportunities here than ever.

A great place to stay: The Hyatt Regency New Orleans, with its nearly 1,200 rooms, can make your stay enjoyable. There are eight dining options, a heated rooftop pool, fitness center and more. You won’t want to miss being here with all your ASBA colleagues. Plus, it’s right near the SuperDome – just one more connection to the sports industry.

Attending the meeting is not only a sound business decision, but one you’ll be glad you made, simply because of these and other opportunities. Mark your calendar now.

More information on this meeting, including announcements concerning the keynote speaker and the topics to be covered in the technical program, will be available soon. Members will receive the brochure automatically; others can request to be added to the mailing list. Information will also be carried on the ASBA website, www.sportsbuilders.org
