member.
ASBA has six membership divisions: Tennis,
Track, Fields, Indoor, Professional and Supplier. Whatever
the needs of your business, ASBA is working to help you
accomplish them. Descriptions of each category are below.
Apply today.
Builder: Any individual, partnership or corporation which
for a period of two years has been actively engaged in the
building or surfacing of tennis courts, running tracks or other
athletic or recreational surfaces shall be eligible to be a
Builder Member of the Association. Any applicant shall be deemed
to meet the requirements of the foregoing sentence if a majority
of the voting control of the applicant shall be held by
individuals who at the time of the application are designated by
the Association as a Certified Tennis Court Builder or a
Certified Track Builder.
Annual dues - $840
Supplier: Any individual, partnership or corporation
which, for a period of two years, has been actively engaged in
the manufacture for resale or distribution at wholesale of
materials, hardware or accessories used in the construction of
tennis courts, running tracks or other athletic or recreational
surfaces, and does not meet the qualifications for Builder
membership, shall be eligible to be a Supplier Member of the
Association.
Annual dues - $1120
Professional Member: Any individual, partnership or
corporation which does not come within any of the foregoing
classifications, and is or employs on a full-time basis a
registered or licensed design professional and is engaged in the
business of rendering professional design or consulting services
on a fee basis in connection with the construction of tennis
courts, running tracks or other athletic or recreational
surfaces shall be eligible to be a Professional Member of the
Association. Professional Members shall not represent, market or
sell any product.
Annual dues - $500
Provisional Member: Any individual, partnership or
corporation which would otherwise be eligible to be a Builder,
Associate or Affiliate Member of the Association, but which does
not satisfy the two (2) year business requirement as required
under Section1.a. of the Article, shall be eligible to join the
Association as a Provisional Member. Provisional Members shall
not be eligible to vote on matters coming to a vote of the
Members of the Association, shall not be able to use the
collective membership mark, and shall not be eligible to hold
any office of the Association or any of its divisions. The
membership category of a Provisional Member shall automatically
be converted to the appropriate category upon satisfaction of
the two year business requirements.
Annual dues - $450
Ancillary Member: Other parties, which though not coming
in any of the foregoing classifications, are interested in
helping to fulfill the purposes of the Association shall be
eligible to be Ancillary Members of the Association. Examples of
Ancillary Members are trade publications and associations.
Ancillary Members shall not be eligible to vote on matters
coming to a vote of the Members of the Association, and shall
not be eligible to hold any office of the Association or any of
its divisions.
