ASBA Publishes New Tennis
Courts Book |
|

ASBA has announced the publication of the seventh
edition of one of its most popular books, Tennis Courts: A
Construction and Maintenance Manual.
The book, a cooperative venture between ASBA and
the U.S. Tennis Association, is designed for anyone involved in
building, maintaining, repairing or renovating all types of tennis
courts, and facilities of all types. It includes user-friendly
technical information on all aspects of tennis courts, including
design,

budgeting and planning, site requirements, surface
selection, construction, maintenance, repair, amenities and
accessories and more. In addition, it includes diagrams, photos,
governing bodies and sources for further information.
"For the seventh edition, we've made the book
much more user-friendly," says David Clapp, who chaired the
committee charged with updating and rewriting the manual. "We've
reorganized the information into a much more logical flow -- from
conception to construction to completion -- and included extensive
chapters on maintenance and repair and renovation. But also, we've
broken out information into many more chapters, and we've included
external tabs so users can quickly and easily find the information
they need."
“I am very pleased with this publication," adds
Mark Brogan, Chairman of the ASBA. "The new edition of Tennis
Courts: A Construction and Maintenance Manual, may be one of the
most valuable resources our organization has ever published. It
represents an excellent partnership between ASBA and USTA, with both
organizations contributing their information and expertise to create
a product anyone in the tennis industry can use. I am also impressed
with the new format of the book, which makes it much easier for the
reader to use."
Copies of the new edition of the book are now
available at a cost of $44.95 each. Books can be ordered by
contacting ASBA at 866-501-ASBA (2722), or by going to the web site,
www.sportsbuilders.org.
The book is also available instantly as a download. |
