As ASBA continues to expand its
reach into the Internet, it has
begun blogging on four sites,
each dealing with a different
division of the membership.
TennisNow (www.tennisnow.com)
publishes ASBA's Tennis Court
Construction Report. This blog,
published every two weeks,
covers topics of interest to the
tennis community with regard to
facility design and
construction. Some of the topics
covered have included
award-winning facilities,
announcements of new Certified
Tennis Court Builders, tennis
topics that have been announced
for upcoming meetings,
association election results,
and more.
RunBlogRun (http://www.runblogrun.com/)
comes out multiple times each
week and is produced by American
Track and Field publisher Larry
Eder. It often contains
information about the
competitive track and field
circuit, so ASBA publishes
periodic news that is of
interest to the track community.
This might include announcements
of publications, the opening of
ASBA's awards program, and more.
AB Newswire (www.athleticbusiness.com):
AB Newswire is the e-newsletter
published regularly by Athletic
Business. ASBA publishes a
weekly blog that covers
contemporary issues in sports
and sports facilities, indoor
and outdoor, with the objective
of informing readers on some of
the various issues in the
industry.
SportsTurf Insider (www.sportsturfonline.com):
SportsTurf Insider is an
e-newsletter that goes out twice
a month to the readers of
SportsTurf Magazine. ASBA
publishes a regular blog on
issues pertaining to the sports
turf industry, and those
articles are also picked up in
www.sportsturfonline.com.
Articles have dealt with the
availability of the Certified
Field Builder (CFB) program,
field-related topics to be
presented at upcoming meetings,
and elections of leaders within
the Association.
ASBA is always looking for other
opportunities to blog, and for
ideas for blog subjects. Please
send all information to
mhsprecher@verizon.net.
