If the Winter
Meeting is all about planning
for the year ahead, part of that
planning is establishing
bragging rights. After all,
those are good until the next
slow season too.
With that in
mind, tennis players of ASBA hit
the Aruba Racquet Club for
ASBA's Winter Meeting Tennis
Tournament, and for several
hours, it was all about friendly
competition. There was plenty of
sun, plenty of wind, plenty of
good-natured kidding, and plenty
of good play. Ultimately, the
battle for first ended with
Chris Allen (Aer-Flo, Inc.,
Oneco, Florida) and Ben Brooks
(Patriot Court Systems, Houston,
Texas) emerging triumphant.
Har-Tru
(Charlottesville, Virginia)
sponsored the event, which also
drew spectators from among the
meeting attendees.
While this
year did not feature a
competitive golf tournament,
there was a golf outing. The
outing was held at the Tierra
del Sol.
Those who are
reading this article and
thinking they want their own
shot at the title, the bragging
rights and the chance to unwind
and enjoy the company of
colleagues and co-workers should
mark their calendars for ASBA's
Technical Meeting. The meeting,
which will run November
30-December 3 of this year in
Orlando, Florida, will bring
another chance to hit the courts
and the links.
