ASBA Technical Meeting: The West Coast Had the Most in 2011

The temps might have been cooler than normal for California, but the contacts, technical information and new products on display were hotter than ever. The ASBA's Technical Meeting in Palm Desert, held the first week in December, brought record attendance for a West Coast meeting. Members, their guests and an array of other industry professionals and luminaries attended and enjoyed everything the Association had to offer. DETAILS

Sessions at the 2011 Technical Meeting in Palm Desert, California, covered a broad range of topics. They were organized according to divisions whose interests they covered. Some were panel discussions, some were single-speaker format, and all invited audience participation and questions. In fact, some of the best learning came about when those in attendance chipped in with stories of their experiences and their advice to others. DETAILS

In terms of pride and bragging rights, you can't get much more intense than a college bowl game -- unless you're at the ASBA Technical Meeting when the golf and tennis tournaments come around. This year was no exception, with members and guests bringing their "A" game to Palm Desert. DETAILS

It's Never Too Early ...

...to start planning for next year's ASBA Technical Meeting. Mark your calendar now: the meeting will be held from November 30 to December 3. The setting will be the Doubletree Hotel at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), the national organization for builders, designers and suppliers of materials for athletic facilities, has announced the election and installation of its officers and directors for the coming year. The Association is looking forward to expanding its reach with its blogging work, and to making even more readers aware of ASBA and of the importance of excellence in sports facility construction.
