ASBA Gearing Up for Winter Meeting 2011

Did your new year's resolution have to do with...

  • doing some volunteer work?

  • being better at your business?

  • spend money more wisely?

  • taking some time to relax?

There's good news for you. You can accomplish all those things at the ASBA Winter Meeting. The meeting, which is scheduled for February 11-13 at the fabulous Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, offers some great opportunities, and all you have to do is take advantage of them.

Want to do some volunteer work? You can. ASBA offers sessions designed to help move the Association forward using your expertise. There are roundtable discussions each day, followed by meetings focusing on the needs and goals of each division (Tennis, Track, Fields and Indoor). You'll be able to suggest ideas for programming at the Technical Meeting, content for the Association's books, development of position papers and web pages for each division, and more.

Want to get better at your business? The meeting offers the chance to make those all-important contacts with your most important customers, suppliers and colleagues. If you've been interested in moving your career forward by becoming certified, you can do that too -- the tennis, track and field builder exams will all be offered.

Looking to spend your money wisely? The Winter Meeting is not only an investment in your business, in yourself and in the Association, it's a good investment, period. ASBA has negotiated good deals on room rates at the Atlantis, and great airfares to the Bahamas are always available. Not only that, the ASBA keeps its meeting registration rates reasonable.

And if you've resolved to take some time and relax, you'll have more than ample opportunities to do that as well. ASBA holds its tennis and golf tournaments, which offer a good time and a chance to flex those competitive instincts. And if you'd rather downshift and take it easy, you can -- you'll be on island time in the Bahamas.

Our site, the Atlantis, couldn't be a more perfect place to get away from it all, either. Luxury accommodations in a dream of a setting means that you can leave winter behind and enjoy yourself. On property, there are opportunities for family-friendly entertainment as well as opportunities to get away from it all with water sports, touring and other fun. After hours, you'll have your choice of casual or fine dining, comedy clubs, live entertainment, bars and lounges and more. Your only decision will be how to enjoy yourself. There's not a wrong turn to take.

Information is now available on the website at www.sportsbuilders.org. Members will receive it automatically, but others can request to be added to the list by contacting the Association directly at 866-501-ASBA (2722).
